Decorate an outdated ceiling fan with a napkin: 11 simple steps

crystal ceiling fan ideas

Have you noticed that you investigated and found your outdated ceiling lights stand out like a painful thumb after you repaired one of your rooms? After having decided to refurbish one of my bedrooms inspired by safari themes, I noticed my old, outdated ceiling fan lacked continuity with new decoration. Replacing the lamp was relatively expensive as the budget has already increased. However, as it is somewhat ingenious, I have found a cost-effective solution to this additional dilemma. With some inexpensive recycled items, you can easily upgrade your existing ceiling fan to make it a unique center.

The necessary materials are as follows.

Tissue paper (your choice)

White craft adhesive (or decoupage paste)

About water

Disposable plastic cup

Scissors

Fan blade (purchase new blade if necessary)

Adhesive tape or double-sided tape

Sponge brush

o Cotton cloth (for cleaning)

o Plastic knife or wooden stirrer

Disposable gloves

Polyurethane or Crystal Clear Gloss Spray

o Clean up dirt and glaze

All or ice pick

4 to 5 wire hanger

Glass beads (if applicable)

Glass paint or marker (optional)

The next 11 steps will help you to match your outdated ceiling fans with the rest of your room:

1. Remove and clean the existing blade from the ceiling fan and start with a clean blade.

2. Cut the tissue paper twice as much as the blade. Do not worry about accurately cutting the paper according to the shape of the fan blade. Sufficient rectangular pattern.

3. Wear disposable gloves. In a disposable plastic cup, mix a part of the water with a part of the white adhesive for sewing to form a paste. If you wish, you can also use decoupage paste instead of glue. Run in a well-ventilated place.

4. Use a sponge brush to apply paste solution to cover both sides of the blade.

5. Carefully place the napkin in the painted area and apply another paste on the saturation paper to make sure that both materials stick together. If there are small wrinkles and wrinkles, letters and texture will increase, so do not worry about paper overlap or smoothness.

6. Using a pick and Ice Ax, thread the paper through the hole at the top center of the fan blade. Gently push the end of the wire hook hook into the punch hole and hang the blade on the die. Please do not let things that may interfere with the drying process fall on your blade.

7. (Optional) If you want to make the old appearance after the blade dries, apply a layer of transparent dirt or colored glaze to them.

8. After thoroughly drying, apply a thin layer of polyurethane or lightly spray a transparent glossy blade. It seals the paper by adding delicate luster to the surface.

9. When the blade is completely dry, pierce the AHL paper or ice ax with the other screw holes and attach it to the fan frame.

If your ceiling fan's neck is short, you can paste a small napkin around this area. If the neck has a long stem, you can wrap some free fabric around it and fix them with a Velcro tape. Please confirm that there is no hindrance to ventilation and engine operation during use.

11. (Optional) Decorate your desires with beadwork, crystal, or light jewelry chain. You can also add decorative accents to existing lightballs and glass lids using paints designed for such surfaces.

Let's be creative with the resurrection of your lamp. Generally, this project costs 5 to 20 dollars, not only the material you have but also the amount of jewelry you use. This change in weight should not excessively stress the operating system of the fan depending on the current state of the fan. Consider the drying time depending on the temperature, the proper ventilation and the number of accent. This project will take one day to complete. Now go back one step and enjoy the refurbished, unparalleled ceiling accessories.
